Dining with local wildlife - Insects

Living in Hertfordshire and Saskatchewan, Canada, has deepened my appreciation for wildlife in the garden. This inspiration led to my first tableware series, created using gradients of glass powders and featuring hand-drawn images as centrepieces.

This collection includes a set of four flat bowls, or "blates," each bordered in vibrant cobalt blue against a semi-transparent white base. The centre of each bowl displays a hand-drawn insect that is significant to both my childhood and adulthood.

The series highlights the British 7-spot ladybird, honeybee, damselfly, and Luna moth.
